DUFOUR 61: Best boat contest flagship winner by SAIL Magazine

In its January/February issue, the American magazine SAIL has just announced the winners in each category for the best boat of the year 2022.

The Dufour shipyard is proud to announce that the Dufour 61, the brand’s new flagship, is the Winner in the category of Best Monohull 50 feet and over.

This prize rewards the work accomplished over several years by all the teams at the shipyard and demonstrates the increasingly important place of the Dufour brand in the world of luxury yachts, with this high-performance, elegant and spacious model.

It is also a recognition of Dufour’s expertise and the quality of our yachts.

The jury was composed of 5 journalists, Tom Hale, Zuzana Prochazka, Lydia Mullan, Charles J.Doane, Tom Dove and Adam Cort, editor in chief, and elected the Dufour 61 as one of the 5 boats in its category. A very nice consecration at international level!

DUFOUR 470: MUCH MORE THAN A SAILING BOAT

When Dufour’s know-how re-invents itself to craft the sailing boat of tomorrow. This results in a 47-footer which is both beautifully designed and high-performance for incredible thrills.
The Dufour 470 combines both Dufour’s know-how and the Brand’s desire to innovate. This model, in line with its predecessor, enjoys the yard’s DNA while offering an edge of modernity. Its hull design and the fluidity of its deck layout already make it an iconic sailing boat. Its modernity, its simplicity and its elegance already make it a new “classic.”

Three models in one. Let your instinct do the talking…

Easy Version
The “Easy” version is intended for owners and renters in search of simplicity and comfort. Its elegant movement plan allows great mobility.

Ocean Version
The “Ocean” version suits owners who wish for a more traditional movement plan perfectly with the sheets positioned on the coamings and the halyard and mainsail trolley handlings near the helm station.

Performance Version
The “Performance” version is ideal for lovers of thrills and regatteers. With its six high-quality winches, its clew at the rear of the cockpit and its “Performance” equipment, this model is transformed into a pure racer.

An interior layout in three versions
The Dufour 470 comes in three interior layouts. Every sailor will find what they are seeking, whether it’s sailing with a large or reduced crew. Design innovations allow for an optimum use of space to guarantee simple sailing while retaining very comfortable sleeping areas.

SILENT 100: EXPLORER

An homage back to the days when the brave were constantly seeking unknown horizons. The same way it took an unbroken adventurous spirit to explore the seven seas beyond the limit of one´s imagination, it took a lot of courage to envision and develop the solar electric drivetrain. A fearless attitude is required either way. As such, the SILENT 100 Explorer is more than a yacht – she is the boldest expression of solar powered yachting yet.

BALI 4.8: OPEN SPACE

The BALI 4.8 Open Space brings together the best of the original characteristics that make up the DNA of BALI catamarans. In addition to the recognized innovations such as the rigid forward cockpit with lounge area and sunbathing area; the new platform linking the two sugarscoops with large bench seat and lockers; the large tilt and-turn door and sliding windows; and a panoramic relaxation area on the coachroof, the BALI 4.8 offers, as does the 5.4, new access to the forward cockpit by an interior door and cabins by panels opening onto the aft cockpit, and a 6 cabin / 6 bathroom version unheard of on a 48 footer.

SPX 24: SCOPRI IL MARE

Built with the best raw materials (such as vinylester resins and neopentyl gel coat), it stands out for its pure and innovative line, and above all for a meticulous articulation of spaces and for the attention to every detail, which can only be found in higher category boats.

The sporty profile of the boat, aerodynamic and at the same time classically harmonious, is accompanied by comfort and ergonomics of the command post, services and corridors unrivaled for the category.

The large aft sundeck, coordinated with the folding backrest of the sofa, can be configured in three variants in a few seconds, concealing a huge locker inside.

The seat is enriched not only with a folding table, but also with a sink and a cockpit refrigerator.

The steering console, essential in its lines, simple and intuitive in management, is equipped with all the useful tools to ensure total control of the boat.

Stable, fast and safe, it allows you to touch peaks of over 50 knots with the most performing engines.

The customizations of the boat – a small and true luxury brand within the reach of many sea lovers – are practically unlimited.
For example, you can customize the color of the gel coat, tubulars, teak, cushions, etc., as well as choose a roll bar in fiberglass or steel.
