Information

The Felci Yachts 80 Catamaran is a new project. It is a super cruising catamaran, 24 meters long and about 12 meters wide, in which both the naval architecture, the stylistic and the functional one are the result of a long research and development work started on the input of one of our loyal owner. and carried out by our studio with great enthusiasm and desire to reach new goals.

A great work of design and synthesis therefore, in which years of experience and a futuristic vision of the sailing boat converge. This transforms, from a means of transport and entertainment, to which also a comfortable life on board can be combined into something different. In an almost completely autonomous entity, in which to live even for long periods, come to a luxurious villa by the sea, with which it is however possible to easily (and quickly) change the scenarios and settings.

Clearly the basic research is declined in a new and more extensive formal and functional analysis, in search of new living spaces, of comfort and privacy.

The interiors are on three floors. The cabins and the galley on the lower level, in the hulls; the living room in direct communication with the cockpit at deck level and the flybridge, a large terrace located 5 meters above the sea. There are many episodes that manage to find these separate and welcoming environments.

As a first distinctive element, coming from the outside, you will immediately find the cockpit, semi-covered and characterized by large stairways to climb on the gangways towards the bow. To starboard a luxurious relaxation area with sofas, which can be transformed into a dining or breakfast area. This area is the hub from which to access both inside the boat and the elevated flybridge.

In direct connection, on the same level, we find the lounge equipped with an exclusive sofa area for the evenings to be spent relaxing inside, a large table for dining even for 12 and a study overlooking the sea.

From a spiral staircase in carbon and teak you can go up to the flybridge, where there are areas with different functions, for example the sunbathing area with large cushions and equipped with a retractable hydromassage, or the command area of the boat, from which to control both sailing and motor navigation.

Also at deck level, forward of the saloon, there is an additional external sitting area that allows for pleasant privacy even when moored in the marina with the stern at the quay.

Note the possibility of direct access to the two twin owner’s cabins, very large, with king-size double beds arranged transversely and directly in contact with the environment thanks to two large windows overlooking the sea.

In both there are also two beautiful walk-in closets and two separate bathrooms with shower and sauna, as well as large wardrobes, a study and a sofa for moments of maximum privacy.

The hulls also allow for the creation of two very large guest cabins, with private bathrooms with separate showers, while maintaining the style and construction details that transversely characterize all the rooms and furnishings.

The galley, directly connected to the crew area, is located aft in the port hull, characterized by exceptional volumes and finishes.

A real home kitchen, functional, modern and elegant, available to the crew who, in addition to a private sitting room, also have a direct connection with the captain’s cabin, equipped with bunk beds and large bathrooms and separate shower.

Two separate crew cabins complete the internal layout of this project.

From a sailing point of view, two versions are being studied, one more performing with telescopic fins and the other with a fixed keel and smaller draft.

The construction will inevitably be very HyTech, in carbon fiber sandwich, in order to obtain an absolutely non-deformable and robust one-piece structure.

The sail plan, with its mast rather attached, allows you to sail without the aid of the engine already with 8 knots of real wind and keep absolutely interesting averages, with a view to maximum containment of consumption and emissions.

Naval Architecture

The design method begins with a Brief, offering the customer extensive support in the initial phase of product definition, analyzing the action market, potential competitors, strengths and objectives of the customer.
In a second phase the Preliminary Project is developed through the necessary “loops” that touch all the key elements that will make it up.
In a third phase they arrive at the drafting of the Executive Project which is developed to define the details, materials and construction techniques.
Finally, a professional marketing support offers support from a graphic and editing point of view, to help in the best conveyance of the final project and in its presentation on the market.

The Shipyard

Engineering

Sizing of the hull, deck, structures and appendages of the boat following the use specifications provided by the customer and the builder, in accordance with the regulations.
For components in composite material, supply of lamination plans based on the materials and construction technologies required.
Engineering of all structural components by combining the analysis of stresses and deformations with an in-depth evaluation of the final weights, in determining the most efficient and optimized structure.
