Michael & Heike Köhler are the solar-pioneers behind SILENT-YACHTS.
In 23 years of navigation they came to the conclusion that there should be a more efficient way to provide power to yachts. After years of research, this led to the birth of the SOLARWAVE 46 in 2009, which used only solar energy for real propulsion, but also to provide energy to all appliances on board
In 2010, the yacht has been tested at sea, crossing the entire European continent. The yacht was able to power the engines every day under various weather conditions such as Force 9 storms. Based on their unique experience, they have successfully developed 4 solar-electric yacht models of complete production. In addition, SILENT YACHT has received several awards for research and development that has been invested in this innovative technology.
